Prosthesis Project Intro to Sculpture & Structure Courses Spring 2018 Structure How it ‘holds up’ Students learn to apply a variety of organizational constructs to the consideration of and making of art and design. Spanning plastic and fixed approaches to building and underlying organizational principles, students realize their ideas in multiple physical and conceptual dimensions. The gaps between thought and form are tested as ideas come to inhabit space and time. Intro to Sculpture Introduces fundamental techniques and issues in three-dimensional art with emphasis on creative expression, design, and craftsmanship. No previous art experience is required. Designed for the non-art student in the general university seeking an appreciation and heightened understanding of art and art practices.
